The Center for Natural Language Processing has advanced the
development of human-like language understanding software capabilities
through many research projects since 1999. These projects have
been in a variety of domains such as national security, intelligence,
health, and education and have involved various technologies
including automatic metadata generation, entity and event extraction,
question answering and cross language information retrieval.
Our success collaborating with academic, government and private
industry has resulted not only in useful applications for
our funders, but also furthered the cutting-edge research
of Natural Language Processing and Information Retrieval.
These collaborations have been symbiotic relationships that
enhance both the technology products, the field of Natural
Language Processing and the research at the School of Information
Studies at Syracuse University.
CNLP continually seeks new opportunities to enhance the access
of relevant information to users through natural language
processing. Having experience working on diverse teams, CNLP
welcomes working with like-minded organizations to come together
to solve today's information challenges.
